Who is Save a Life for?

I was asked twice this week who Save A Life is for. One person told me Save A Life is only for people in recovery and to help people with those needs, while that is true it is not only for people in recovery. Save A Life Recovery Resource Center is more than a recovery hub, it is a welcoming, inclusive community space where everyone is invited to learn, create, connect, and feel supported. While our mission is rooted in providing compassionate resources for individuals and families affected by substance use, our doors are open to all people, regardless of background or recovery status.

Many community members are surprised to learn that you do not have to be in recovery to enjoy our programs. Our creative wellness activities, such as art, music, creative writing, crafting, drop-in, and our community gatherings; are designed to support mental wellness, reduce isolation, and build a sense of belonging for anyone who walks through our doors. These programs offer a safe, judgment-free environment where people can relax, express themselves, and build meaningful connections.

Save A Life believes that community wellness is strengthened when everyone participates. Families, teens, adults, supporters, allies, and people simply looking for a positive place to spend time are welcome. Whether you want to explore your creativity, meet new people, volunteer, or just enjoy a warm and friendly space, you’ll find a home with us.

Our team is committed to treating every person with dignity, respect, and empathy. We recognize that life can be challenging for many different reasons, and we are here to support the whole community—those in recovery, those supporting loved ones, and those simply seeking a safe and uplifting place to be.

At Save A Life, everyone matters. Everyone is welcome. And everyone has a place.
